Happy Birthday Phatbouy!
A great day is among us as we wish a ‘Happy Birthday’ to our PhatBouy – and no PhatBouy is not a cruel nickname for a slightly overweight and middle-aged man, it is in fact the name for our signature and one of a kind gourmet burgers!
So yes we are celebrating National Burger Day in honour of our Genuine PhatBouy and the pure joy it brings to our people in all its sheer scrumptiousness.
PhatBouy…get ready for your close-up!
Our Genuine PhatBouy consists of the following ingredients:
- Brioche Bun
- Cheese
- 2 100% British Beef Patties
- Mushrooms
- Gherkin
- Genuine Burger Sauce
- Lettuce
- Onions
(But sssshhhh you heard it here first, and here only!)

History of PhatBouy…
Our PhatBouy is a bespoke, funky food service within a few of our Genuine sites. We believe that the strong presence of alfresco dining is a forever growing trend amongst many, so we incorporated this style of service to keep our customers excited.
Our PhatBouy has proven to be highly desirable, especially within our site; Shepperton Studios in which the PhatBouy originated!
As we followed our noses (and rumbling tummies) to the sensationally scented PhatBouy burger van we were delighted to see that we were not the only ones celebrating our burger’s birthday. Whilst we were disappointed that we had to wait longer than anticipated for our burger (boo) we were also very pleased with the turnout for PhatBouy.
The phrase ‘never judge a book by its cover’ does not necessarily ring true with our PhatBouy as we commend you to definitely judge our PhatBouy’s ‘cover’ in all its huge, glorious, and striking burger beauty. It really is as amazing as it looks – and we know this from experience!
After tucking into our celebratory PhatBouy we were hooked. The tantalising tastes and combinations of the cooked to perfection beef patty, teamed with literally melt in your mouth cheese, mushrooms, gherkins, and our personal favourite being our Genuine Burger Sauce we were literally dizzying into a whirlwind of burger bliss. We were encompassed into a PhatBouy paradise where all we could see for miles were fluffy clouds draped with dancing and twirling PhatBouys; we were truly intoxicated in the pure deliciousness that we had the privilege of experiencing. Our Genuine gourmet burgers are literally out of this world!
WARNING – this is not your everyday burger this is a ‘push the boat out’ burger (and a push your belly out burger due to the sheer size of it!)
With greasy fingers, lips and a side of burger sauce smeared across our mouth we had finally defeated the PhatBouy, and what a tasty challenge it was indeed! We weren’t left red faced from the embarrassment of our pure greed and the amount of food we can pack away; we were left red faced from the amount of sauce we had around our very smiley faces!! PhatBouy is the burger where no manners are necessary as it’s far too ‘phat’ to be ladylike and follow dining etiquette.
Since we have been talking about our beloved PhatBouy so much let’s see our burger in action on its big day!
