The Genuine Dining Co. are delighted to announce today the acquisition of Feng Sushi, the
London based Japanese restaurant. The business will continue to be managed and operated by
the Feng Sushi management team, who will report in to Chris Mitchell, CEO of Group Genuine.
Feng Sushi will run as a separate entity and will become part of the Group.
Luke Johnson, the well-known hospitality entrepreneur, is shareholder and chairman of both
businesses. Combining the two will offer a range of benefits for both brands. The Genuine
Dining Co. & Feng Sushi have been working closely together for the last two years. The Genuine
Dining Co. have been pioneering ways to deliver high street brands in to its business and
industry contracts across the UK. This is a way to further develop lunchtime eating habits for
their business and industry customers as well as expanding and developing the Feng Sushi brand
in its own right.
There are many synergies between the two brands with people, product and service at the core
of their offer.
As part of this deal, Chris Mitchell will become CEO of Group Genuine, which incorporates The
Genuine Dining Co., Signature Dining, Genuine Hotels and Feng Sushi.
The deal will see Feng Sushi CEO Paul Viner become a board director for Group Genuine,
overseeing all the companies and adding significant financial support to the Group.
Luke will remain as chairman of Group Genuine.
